Tyler James Bush & Michael Delane Mann

Co-Creators of Fun

Tyler James Bush is a well-known artist in Boise, renowned for his striking art installations that blend creativity with immersive design. His eye for detail and passion for storytelling seamlessly carry over into his themed parties, where the décor plays an important role. With Tyler’s artistic direction, each event is transformed into a visually stunning world, making the parties not just gatherings—but full-scale artistic environments guests won’t forget.

Michael Delane Mann, an electrical engineer with a creative edge, plays a key role in bringing Tyler’s imaginative concepts to life. His technical expertise ensures that every prop not only looks amazing but works flawlessly, adding a layer of interactivity and realism to each installation. From 3D modeling to moving parts, Michael’s innovations take the visuals to the next level—like the fully functioning Nightmare Before Christmas countdown clock he engineered, which has become a crowd favorite. His skills turn bold ideas into immersive, working experiences.

Their Wedding

Tyler and Michael’s wedding was designed as more than just a celebration—it was a living art piece, with every detail thoughtfully curated to create a fully immersive experience for their guests. From interactive moments to captivating décor, they focused on making sure everyone felt entertained, engaged, and part of something truly special. The result? Countless guests told them it was unlike any wedding they had ever attended, fun, unforgettable, and completely one-of-a-kind.

That unforgettable wedding experience is what first inspired them to pursue the idea of owning a venue. They knew they had created something truly unique, something they genuinely loved doing—and more importantly, something others loved being part of. That moment sparked a vision: to create immersive, unforgettable events that go beyond the ordinary. Now, they’re inviting others to join them on this journey. Guests are encouraged to come to their parties, experience the magic, and let them exceed expectations.

Halloween and Christmas Displays

Tyler and Michael’s decorations have become beloved fixtures in Boise’s North End. Residing along the iconic Harrison Boulevard, known for its elaborate Halloween decorations, they have transformed their front yard into a seasonal spectacle. In October they transform their house into the Haunted Mansion and in December, they recreate scenes from The Nightmare Before Christmas, featuring mostly handcrafted props. Their dedication to detail and storytelling has garnered local media attention, they have been featured on the news a couple of times highlighting their commitment to bringing joy and creativity to the community.

Beyond their own displays, they have assisted neighbors in creating themed decorations, turning one house into a Beetlejuice-themed attraction and another into a Ghostbusters-inspired setup. They have plans to continue making these houses while adding a few more. Their own house which has been Haunted Mansion themed will be up at the new venue to provide decorations for their annual Halloween party that is open to the public if you purchase a ticket. They will have something different and sure to be a crowd pleaser at their house. Tyler is trying to decide if they go with a classic or something never done before on or off Harrison. They don’t want to disappoint people who now look forward to what they create. Their collaborative spirit continues to inspire and enchant the Boise community.

Tyler and Michael once thought their dream of owning a venue for their themed parties had slipped away after losing the chance to purchase the El Korah building a few years ago. But everything changed when Tyler crossed paths with Lisa Ball, a seasoned wedding planner who had admired their elaborate Nightmare Before Christmas decorations. Inspired by their creativity, Lisa invited them to be part of her next big venture—transforming the former McGrath’s location into Boise’s newest and most unique event venue. With Lisa’s planning expertise, the owner Jason’s passion for cooking, and Tyler’s unmatched talent for marketing, design, and immersive decor, the team was complete. Together, they’re building a space where unforgettable events come to life.

As Lisa, Tyler, and Michael began transforming the former Country Bay Bistro into Boise’s newest event venue, it quickly became clear that the name didn’t match the elegant vision they had in mind. As Tyler put it, they “Defishified” the place. The wagon wheels and anchor lights were swapped for chandeliers, rustic touches gave way to refined details, and the space began to take on a whole new personality. They knew the name had to evolve too. It was during a casual lunch with friends that inspiration struck – Litsa, one of the owners of Sofia’s Greek Bistro, suggested, “Why not call it Amélies?” The name instantly resonated. French, fun, and effortlessly charming, Amélies felt like the perfect fit for a place where people would be proud to host their most special moments. With Tyler’s deep appreciation for French design—shaped by his time spent in France and his creative collaborations with longtime client Dita Von Teese—infusing the space with Parisian flair came naturally. The result is a venue that’s both timeless and enchanting.
